Percutaneous Fusion

Percutaneous fusion is a procedure aimed at the conservative treatment that eliminates causes of some back pain and this leads to a significant reduction of the pain. This is a minimally invasive surgical procedure and this means that the patient does not have to spend a long period of time in the recovery process.

The facet fusion procedure is recommended in cases where other conservative treatments have failed and one of the techniques used is developed by TruFUSE. In the conventional procedure pedicle screws and metal rods are used in the vertebrae connection. With this technique, a bone donation from the tibia and femur is inserted in the track which is created in the facet joint. Since the allograft used in this technique is a bone, which is a biomaterial, the healing and the stability are enhanced.
